Jonathan Markt
Owner,
Project Manager & Lead Carpenter
Jonathan started working at Markt & Company as a part-time employee while completing his schooling at the University of Oregon. After working as a carpenter in Montana, he returned to us as a full-time employee in 2003 and became an owner in 2007. He has a wide range of carpentry skills, as well as experience in customer service and project management.

Wendy Markt
Owner &
Office Manager
Wendy joined our team in December
2007 as a partial owner. She previously was a financial advisor and
office manager with Ameriprise Financial, working with clients on
saving towards their retirement and other goals. Her customer service,
administrative experience, computer skills and attention to detail have
been indispensable in her role as office manager, bookkeeper and marketing manager for
Markt & Company.

Bill Markt
Owner &
Certified Remodeler
Bill graduated from the University
of Utah in 1971 with a degree in Finance. He has been committed to
building and remodeling for over thirty years. As the business has
grown and changed, Bill has filled every job description at some point
in time. He currently does sales and estimating, problem-solving, and is an excellent carpenter and builder who still gets
back into the trenches with us.

Marlin Myers
Production
Manager
Marlin graduated from Portland State
University in 1991 with a degree in Physical Education. In 1996
he received his Master's degree in Counseling at Western Evangelical
College. Marlin worked at Markt & Company from 1986-2004,
returning in 2008 after a few years in the lumber industry. He is
highly skilled in both rough and finish carpentry. He is an
excellent manager and problem solver with strong customer service
ethics. He is a certified lead carpenter through the National
Association of the Remodeling Industry. |

Landon Self
Lead
Carpenter
Landon has had extensive experience
in all phases of the construction field. His work history includes
concrete foundation and flatwork, counters, logging and machining.
After many years of working for other people he started his own
construction company. Through this wide variety of professions Landon
has learned to better understand, and be more committed to, customer
service. In turn he has made customer satisfaction his first priority,
which is critical at Markt & Company. |

Paul Markt
Lead Carpenter
Paul had the opportunity to work
for Markt and Company Construction off and on through his college years
at the University of Oregon where he studied sociology and business. In
that time he learned the basics of the construction field. After
graduation he worked for the Hertz Corporation in a management position. He has been with Markt & Company full-time for almost 3 years, and was recently promoted to a lead carpenter position. |

Pete Mikkelsen
Lead Carpenter
Pete has worked in construction since 2001. Most recently, he owned his own construction company in Southern Oregon before moving to Portland and starting work with Markt and Company Construction. His background in business managment and his experience in many different trades make him a valuable addition to our team. |
