Markt & Company Construction was founded in 1977. The company is licensed, bonded, and insured. We have many years of experience remodeling, and believe in a well-managed project and quality craftsmanship. We’re active in numerous community projects and are leaders in the industry.

We provide residential remodeling. We focus on projects large enough to require several trades to be involved. We do additions, kitchens, baths, guest houses, master suites and more. We have experience on remodels that have special engineering, unique products, and distinctive homeowner needs.

CRAFTSMAN DIVISION

Our Craftsman Divison provides service, maintenance and repairs, and is in place to keep your home looking great throughout the years. The Craftsman Division can help with things such as:

REMODELING FOR ACCESSIBILITY

An overwhelming majority of us would like to be able to remain in our homes, regardless of physical changes due to age, illness or injury. Accessibility is a special area of construction that focuses on architectural details for people with different physical abilities. It addresses details like steps, ramps, doorways, grab bars, faucets, door knobs, elevators and more. We have unique experience in this field, and would be happy to talk with you about things to consider. Please ask us about products or features that might enhance your remodel by making it accessible.

REMODELING PROCESS

Step 1: Initial Consultation

We first talk on the phone to discuss design ideas and get a rough outline of your needs and wants.  We then set up a meeting to see your home and further discuss the design of your remodel, your expectations and our availability.

Step 2: Pricing

After the initial meeting, we will project a rough price range for your remodel to give you an idea of whether you’d like to proceed with a formal price estimate.  If you do decide to go forward, a small deposit will be required, which will allow us to spend the time required to estimate the job and reserve a scheduled start time for the remodel.  This deposit is credited toward the total cost of the job. We will then work up a full estimate for the price of your remodel, including firm prices for labor, materials and any needed subcontractors.  We will meet again to review the estimate and discuss any necessary modifications.  Once we have a final project outline that you are happy with, we will draw up a contract with final specifications and a payment schedule.

Step 3: Construction

Depending on the stage of the development plans, your needs and the status of permits, we will determine when to begin work on your remodel.  During this time, we will discuss with you what you can expect during the remodeling process, and how we can best work together to complete your project successfully.  Throughout the remodeling process, we will meet with you regularly to discuss the project, scheduling and any questions you might have.

Step 4: Maintenance

In completing your remodel, we will work with you to make a punchlist, and your final payment will not be due until the final punchlist has been completed.  We fully warranty the project for one year, and are available anytime for maintenance and repairs through our Craftsman Division.
